We are now accepting abstracts for the 2nd International Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Congress in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. We invite you to share the evidence-based practices that are shaping healthcare to meet today’s challenges.

 

CONFERENCE THEMES
As we strive to EMPOWER nurses, midwives and allied health professional to EXCEL, the challenge in our current environment is to provide the support to SUSTAIN the advancements made. Therefore, please submit abstracts utilizing these themes. Some potential abstract examples include:

Presentation Formats

  • 30-minute podium presentations (20-minute presentation with 10 minutes Q+A)
  • 15-minute “Learning Lab” podium presentations (3 similar topics will be combined in one hour)
  • Poster Presentations
  • Youth Forum- 60-minute round table discussions

Author and Abstract

  • ONE person is required to submit the abstract and they will be considered the Primary Presenter. All correspondence will be made with the primary presenter, and they will be responsible for communicating with the other presenters/ authors
    • All authors’ names and affiliations/institutions must be submitted
  • The abstract must
    • Provide enough information for the reviewers to assess the topic’s significance to the Congress, as well as the suitability and rigor of the evidence-based content.
    • Summarize substantive outcomes rather than simply listing subjects to be explored
  • For accepted submissions, the author(s) will be asked to sign a conflict-of-interest form as well as a funding declaration.
  • Podium presenters will receive
    • Complimentary registration for the Congress
  • All oral presenters accepted through the abstract submission process must register to attend but will receive up to two complimentary access passes (one lead presenter and one supporting presenter); they are however responsible for their own related expenses.
  • A certificate of attendance and appreciation for your presentation
  • The presentation must not be utilized to promote services, products or other entities that are commercial in nature
  • Note: Travel and accommodation expenses are not covered by the Congress.
  • Poster presenters:
    • Poster presenters will be eligible to register at the discounted (early bird) rate

The following information is required for each submission:

  • Preferred presentation format (30-minute podium, 15-minute podium, poster)
  • Presentation title (limited to 100 characters with spaces)
  • If the abstract is selected, the primary presenter may request to add additional presenters.

  • Brief bio for the presenters (limited to 500 characters with spaces)
  • Presentation format preference in order of preference (1st, 2nd and 3rd)
  • Primary Presenters experience in presenting at conferences (first time, national vs international experience, local (own organization) presentations, published author or none)
  • At least three learning outcomes describing the impact on the learner (limited to 100 characters with spaces for each outcome)
  • Abstract Narrative 400 words maximum). Content should include proven and innovative practices which could include (but is not limited to),
    • background, significance, approach used, outcomes, lessons learned, implications, and application to other settings.
      • Note: If the topic is the result of research, it must be presented in the appropriate research format (introduction, methods, data analysis, results, discussion/conclusion and recommendations if applicable)
  • Tip: write the abstract in a Word document before entering the content below. This will ensure character limits are met and avoid spelling errors. Avoid specialized jargon and undefined abbreviations. Do not include tables, figures, diagrams, footnotes, references, or acknowledgements in the text of the abstract.
    • The body of the abstract should not include the authors information or organization.
  • Include three keywords that describe the presentation

Important Dates for Submission

September 29th: Abstract submission site closes at 11:59 p.m. Abu Dhabi time.
By October 12th: The Scientific Committee will notify the primary presenter of their submission status via email. Suggested edits will be added
By October 17th: Presenters must accept invitation to attend.
October 30th Final presentations will be due for submission
Nov 1st: Presenter Orientation (via Teams) to help prepare presenters
